Releasing the book Rural Self Employment Programmes in India: An Appraisal in the auditorium of the institute on 24th August 2009, the chief guest of the function Sri Ananthakrishna, Chairman, Karnataka Bank Ltd. complimented the institute for promoting research activities relating to rural development programmes. He opined that there are enough self employment opportunities in rural India.Congratulating the author, Dr.M.S.Moodithaya, Director of the institute on bringing out the research work in the form of this book, he said the nine recommendations made in the book on rural self employment are valid and current.

Sri R.Sampath, Zonal Manager, Karnataka Zone, Bank of India released the fifth issue of Nitte Management Review which contains eight research articles, one book review and a report on International conference held in the institute.

Dr.M.S.Moodithaya spoke about the book and Dr. N.K.Thingalaya presided over the function. Prof. AVM Ramesh Karnik welcomed the gathering and Dr.G.V.Joshi proposed the vote of thanks. Dr. Sudhir Raj K. was the Master of Ceremony.
